LECTURES AND EXHIBITIONS
Anne has won much acclaim in Ireland and abroad as a guest lecturer and regularly gives illustrated talks about her work as a biographer and on the subject of her books.
Anne was guest lecturer at the 40th Anniversary of Soroptimist International 40th Anniversary - Castlebar Branch - held recently in Castlebar. Her talk on historic and present-day Soroptimists was enthusuiastically received by the very large audience.
Anne recently conducted the annual Wanderwoman tour of sites and places connected with Grace O’Malley in counties Mayo and Galway. Wanderwoman is an international woman-only organisation who arrange tours to places associated with historic women in America, Greece and Ireland. The popularity of the Grace O’Malley tour has resulted in an additional two tours being planned for 2010. ’ Grace O’Malley continues to do her bit for Irish tourism,’ Anne says.
